With spring here, there are signs of new life everywhere. God’s touch is all around us.
When life gets difficult and we are desperate to see and to feel God’s presence, we want to know that He is with us.
In the busy-ness of our lives, oftentimes we are too distracted to see … to hear… and to feel “God Moments”. In order to do that, we need to be still.
“Be still and know that I am God. I’m right here by your side.”
Psalm 46:10
An anonymous piece speaks to my heart:
“The man whispered, ‘God, speak to me.’
And a meadowlark sang.
But the man did not hear.
So the man yelled, ‘God, speak to me!’
And the thunder rolled across the sky.
But the man did not listen.
The man looked around and said,
‘God, let me see you.’ And a star shined brightly. But the man did not notice.
And the man shouted, ‘God, show me a miracle!’
And, a life was born.
But the man didn’t know.
So, the man cried out in despair,
‘Touch me, God, and let me know you are here.’
Whereupon, God reached down and touched the man.
But the man brushed the butterfly away and walked on.”
Blessings come in so many different ways. May we only take the time to see … to hear… and to feel the “God Moments” all around us.
